Clinic in a Box

If you are under the age of 20 (and in some cases under 25) you can get free condoms from various places in Bath and North East Somerset by using a C Card.

What is a 'Clinic in a Box'?

'Clinic in a Box' is a FREE, confidential, informal, mobile contraception and sexual health clinic and can be run in a range of places near you such as schools, youth clubs and community centres.

The nurses that run the 'Clinic in a Box' program are very supportive, confidential and are there to help you with any questions, information or support you may need.

What can you get from visiting a 'Clinic in a Box' at your youth club, school or community centre?

  • Confidential information, support and advice about relationships and safe sex.
  • Information about contraceptive choices and supply of the contraceptive pill, progestrogen only pill and the contraceptive injection.
  • C Cards
  • Emergency Contraception
  • Advice and information on sexually transmitted infections
  • Self testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea
  • Prescribe treatment for some sexually transmitted infections
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Support and information on the options available for someone who is pregnant and a referral to the appropriate service

Peasedown St John Youth Club
When:
Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.

Southside Youth Club
When:
Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.

Riverside youth club
When:
Every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.

Batheaston Youth Club
When:
Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.

Keynsham Youth Club

Pathways Housing Project
When:
The 1st Wednesday of every month.

Foyer Housing Project
When:
1st Wednesday of every month.

Bath City College
When:
Every Tuesday lunch time.

Norton Radstock College
When:
Every Wednesday lunch time.

When:
The 1st Tuesday of every month.

Foxhill Point
When:
Fortnightly 1st and 3rd Wednesday 4pm-5pm.

Hayesfield School
When:
Every Wednesday lunch time.

Remember ... you should never feel pressured into having sex. It should be a decision that both you and your partner make together. It is illegal to have sex if you are under 16. Health professionals can provide confidential sexual health information, advice and contraception to you whatever your age if have decided to have sex.

Fact: You can get some test results and treatments for STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections) straight away but sometimes samples will need to be sent to a laboratory. The service that you are attending will arrange with you how you will get these results to maintain your confidentiality.
